Personal Reflections on Bourdain's Suicide & Crisis Hotline Work in Paris

Crisis Hotline

I was saddened to learn of Anthony Bourdain's suicide. In the 80s in Paris I worked as a volunteer at a crisis hotline. Bourdain's death and this personal experience were the starting points for the narration of the video. The footage was shot in Central Park on the same day I wrote the text. They seemed to have an affinity, a zeitgeist. Perhaps this union was encouraged by the French I heard the people speaking who were seated beside me in the park.
